New Speaker with Saba coaxial Driver

Finally a new project has been accomplished. The Saba 26 cm coaxial driver is some sort of mid/high range unit. It definitely needs support for the lower frequencies. In this case I am using the actively powered 18" woofers which are mounted on the baffles in the back of the picture (together with Schulz TH315). The Saba speakers have no open back, but an open side - doesn't really make a big difference. The 6 cm beech wood ball in front of the tweeter helps reducing the typical bundling effect of conically shaped tweeters. This Saba speaker has exceptional qualities - not with all but with some musical material (ask Coleman...).

By the way, here is a nice joke:

Two nouveau-riche Russians meet in the streets of Moskow and realize that they are both wearing the same tie.
"Hey, where did you get the tie and how much did it cost?", asks one of them.
"I bought it in that shop over there and believe it or not: It was five hundred Dollars! Now, what about yours'?", says the other guy.
First guy: "Oh, you crazy idiot! I bought mine in the shop around the corner and I payed two thousand! You are beaten!"

I am telling this because those little adjustable "feet" underneath the speaker stands cost around 1 Euro per piece. But of course, if you are really smart you'll go to your high end dealer and get something similar for 100 Euro. How smart are you?
