We recently travelled to France to listen to a truely amazing system set up by André Klein in a small village near the town Metz. Its main components are a DIY tube amplifier (André has won the 2007 European Triode Festival award for the best amplifier) and a pair of Western Electric 15A horn replicas made by Audioanthology in Italy. The horn drivers are WE555. The bass units are 4 Jensen 18" field coil drivers. The tweeters are also WE. The sound is live-like and relaxed.
