Tesla

The Czechoslowakian company of Tesla will get it's own chapter despite the fact that it is Non-German. There seem to be some very good drivers made by Tesla so we will look deeper into this brand.

The company Tesla was founded in Prague, Cszecholovakia, in 1946. Similar to RFT, Tesla combined a whole load of smaller companies under one roof.

F's comment: Apparently "Tesla " indicates the genius scientist, inventor Nicola Tesla, the hero of Slovakia. So Moscow got a sniff of Nationalism and complained the name. The Industryminister of Czechoslovakia faked a report, changing "Tesla" to "TESLA". According to his explaining, TESLA stands for "TEchnika SLAboproudá " or slowakisch TEchnika SLAboprúda". This seems typical Czechoslovakian way. After the summer of Tanks(07.1968), they pretended to obey Moscow, but continued the program of freedom and reform. Income per capita became next to Italy on the eve of collapse of wall. TESLA is the first and maybe only company which made Video-player and CD-player inside Iron Curtain.　TESLA contributed the development of speakers in 50's. They made cones whose thickness change by gradation from inside to outside.

There must be some connection between Tesla and Philips. Certain characteristics of the speaker frames are identical for both companies.
