Large Mende field coil full range driver with Sachsenwerk Logo (?)

Another oddity: This is definitely a driver made by Mende. But why it is bearing a "Sachsenwerk" logo? The frame measures 24,5 x 24,5 cm. Huge and heavy field coil.
