The Fist
One of the best full range drivers ever made in Japan. TYPE: 20PW56, 8 inch driver. Its nickname " GENKOTSU (the fist)" was named after the shape of center diffusser. The first version name was 8PW1, made by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd in 1954. Then "20PW9", without changing its basic design. In 1965, the audio end in Matsushita was given the brand name "Technics". In parallel with it, the name was changed into " 20PW56" . Till 1984, this driver had been produced. This old soldier had gone concurrently with the end of analog Golden era. Loved by a lot of audio philes, it became legendary.
Very rare, though it has very long manufacturing lead time. And almost impossible to get because nobody doesn't get hold of it. Pics were afforded by K. Hosizumi-San. Thank you very much for precious pics.
