Large Siemens speaker with three 15p and four 28a drivers

This is an extremely rare Siemens speaker box from the mid/late sixties. It may well be considered an early "High End" speaker. Dimensions are 86 x 45 x 81(including legs) cm; this is very large for an early German home HiFi unit! Inside there are three 25 cm drivers type 15p and four tweeters type 28a. The contruction is a ventilated box; note that there is not a single port like in today's speakers but lots of little slits in on of the enclosure walls (see last picture). Siemens has carried on with this sort of ventilation until the eighties and the end of their own production of drivers/speakers.

６０年代中期／後期のウルトラ・レアなジーメンス・スピーカー・ボックス。”ハイ・エンド”スピーカーの走りと考えられるかもしれません。大きさは86 x 45 x 81(脚部を含む) cm。初期のドイツの家庭用ハイファイセットにしては非常に大きい。内部に２５ｃｍのタイプ１５ｐが３個、２８ａトゥイーターが４個セットされている。構造は、空気圧を逃がすヴェンチレート・タイプ。今日のスピーカーのような、一個のバスレフ・ポートを持つのではなく、エンクロージャーの背面に多くの小さなスリットが開けられているのに注目されたし。ジーメンスはこの種のヴェンチレーション・タイプを８０年代まで、つまりドライヴァー／スピーカーの自社生産をやめるまで、生産し続けた。
