Baffles with 24 cm RFT field coil driver and Sachsenwerk tweeter
A great sounding pair of baffles with 24 cm RFT field coil drivers and the legendary Sachsenwerk/KWH tweeter. This time I chose 19 mm beech plywood which I polished only with bees wax. The sound is glorious and lively, no matter if you listen to Steely Dan or JS Bach's "St.Mathew's Passion" or to Chopin piano works. Caps are two 4uF NOS Siemens connected parallel. As in other projects there is a welded steel support to take up the weight of the field coil. This coil is very heavy and if it is not supported the frame might bend, although it is made of cast metal.
