Lorenz cinema baffle 'Celophon 1' / Part 1

This is a genuine cinema speakers baffle, produced by Lorenz AG, Werk Landshut. 'Werk' means plant. Landshut is a city located in Bavaria in Southern Germany. The size of the baffles is 185 x 45 x 32 cm. Speakers are four 25 cm full range drivers and six 11 cm (including the 'bowl') tweeters. In the Lorenz section of this site you find pictures of the tweeters with a 'suspension bowl'. I was wondering before about this construction. Now the enigma is solved! By turning the individual screws on the back of the bowl the sound direction of the tweeters can be adjusted - it's that simple! Originally there were two boards of about 185 x 100 cm attached to the sides of this main baffle.
