Some Macro Pictures of Paper Cones

One of the great achievments of the engineers in the old days was the quality of the cone paper. Below you see some macroscopic photos of various types of paper. The main ingrediants were apparently spruce wood and wool fibres.

The last picture shows an RFT driver photographed against the sunlight. You can tell from the picture how ultra thin these old cones used to be.

昔のエンジニアの偉大な業績の一つは、コーン紙のクオリティーでした。様々なタイプの紙の拡大写真を下にお見せします。主要な原材料は明らかにスプルース材とウール繊維でした。

最後の写真は、日光に透かして撮ったRFTドライヴァーです。この写真から、これらの古いコーンがどれほどとてつもなく薄かったかを、うかがい知ることが出来ます。
