Baffles with 30 cm Tfk field coil drivers and Romar field coil tweeters

Here we have a pair of exquisite sounding baffles. It is a two way system consisting of 30 cm Telefunken field coil full range drivers and two 10 cm Romar field coil bending wave converters as tweeters. The size of the baffles is 50 x 70 cm. The veneer of the 19 mm plywood is some sort of African Mahagony. The plywood is meant for industrial heavy duty use, such as covering the loading areas of trucks. When I saw it at the wood store I realized at once the great potential as a beautiful wood once it is polished; in raw condition it looks grey and boring – look at it now!
DCR of the field and voice coils: 611 / 12,0 Ohms, 565 / 12,5 Ohms. The system needs 100VDC/channel to drive the field coils.
I welded supports for the weight of the field coils with adjustable counterscrews to take strain of the frame of the drivers; even if the frames are fixed with six clamps each, the weight of the coils should not be underestimated.
The sound of these baffles, even in small mother baffles of around 100 x 80 cm is so beautiful and sweet that it silences any listener on the spot.
The condition of all four drivers is excellent.

　これは、この上なく美しい音のするバッフルです。３０ｃｍテレフンケン・フィールド・コイル・ドライヴァーとトゥイーターとして使用されたローマー・ヴェンディング・コンバーターからなる２ｗａｙシステムです。バッフルのサイズは、50 X 70 ｃｍです。１９mm積層合板はアフリカン・マホガニーの一種を使っています。合板は、トラックなどが通る地面にひくような、ヘヴィー・デューティな用途の工業製品です。材木店で、これを見るやすぐに、、素のままでは灰色でつまらないものですが、一度磨けば、美しい木になるポテンシャルを秘めていることが分かりました。さあご覧になってください。
　フィールドとヴォイスのＤＣＲは、611 / 12,0 Ohms, 565 / 12,5 Ohmsです。システムとして、フィールド・コイルは片チャンネルあたり、１００Ｖ　ＤＣ　を必要とします。
　フレームを６箇所でクランプで固定してあるとはいえ、フィールド・コイルの重量は馬鹿にならないので、フィールド・コイルの重量を支えて、フレームのゆがみを取るために、適合するカウンター・スクリューと支持のための支柱を溶接しました。
　100 x 80 cm の小さなマザー・バッフルにつけただけで、このバッフルの音は、あまりに美しく、魅力的であるので、その場のリスナーから言葉を奪うほどです。これらのドライバーの音は卓越しています。
