Nice site, I visited Isophon in Berlin several tmes. Did business and designs with their speakers during the 70´s. Presented several horn designs with Isophon ldrivers, the P30/37 and the P38A mostly. Introduced the Thiel/Small theories to them during 1977. By the way, the DKT11 was brought to the market during the beginning of the 70´s, not the end. The DKT11 was built in to versions. The first one had an air gap between the diaphragm and phase plugg of about 1 mm and the succesor used a substatially smaller gap of about 0.1-0.2 mm removing the dip in the frequency curve atabout 14-15 kHz and giving the horn a much sweeter sound.

初めまして　私はドイツの音響設備やパーツをこよなく愛するマニアです今はシーメンス製のワイドアングルと英国ＥＭＩのｽﾋﾟｰｶｼｽﾃﾑを使用して主にｸﾗｼｯｸとオペラを自作の球ＡＭＰで楽しんで居ます、最近感じた事ですが、楕円型フルレンジユニットはすばらしい音楽を再生する事です、楕円とボイスコイルに秘密が有ると思います、ドイツの音響技術は恐らく世界一ですね。

Great pics that you posted recently. A few comments as to your postings dated from 09-22: - Körting (3) is the version that was delivered with the Bauer Major sound system; obviously the speaker is manufactured at Körting /D&R - Körting (1) is the Maximus junior speaker; its not 15" but a good 10" - the Bauer fc belongs to the Bauer Major system, too. Its interesting to see that these were also delivered with 8 cell horns; I only knew of 12 cell horns till now - unknown is the Grawor (Grass & Worff) Stadiodyn speaker - Cinemecchanica is actually a model made at Microtecnica; I am not sure if these are the same. Lanco speaker with Kontaphon driver - ist falsch. Lanco ist die Firma "Langlotz & Co. KG, Ruhla/Thür.", sie stellte Buchsen, Schalter, Röhrenfassungen etc. her, also nur die Doppelbuchse auf der Rückseite als Zubehör. Das abgebildete Modell ist der Tischlautsprecher "Kurs", hergestellt von "PGH Funktechnik Leipzig" (GDR) mit einem Lautsprecher-Chassis von Kontaphon. W.E.

First of all thank you for very good site.Second I must say that I have hundred percent the same opinion which you express in "An aproach to "Sound". Third: I shall try to send you pictures of very good drivers of Croatian production- RIZ /Radio Industry Zagreb/ with wich I have a lot of pleasure in last ten years of audio experimenting.Fourth:same pleasure reading your site I have with Sound Practices magazine and Altman DIY site. And finaly-if you are interested in analogue- the best arm I have heard ever is RS Labs A-1 arm clone I made myself. If you are interested I shall send you a photo.
